The ICDL curriculum is designed to cover fundamental concepts of computer usage, its core applications, and its role in the workplace and society. To obtain the certification, individuals must pass seven exams.
The official ICDL syllabus consists of seven core modules:
- Basic IT Concepts
- Using Computers and File Management
- Word Processing (Microsoft Word)
- Spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
- Databases (Microsoft Access)
- Presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Internet and Email (Microsoft Outlook)
